Compressing PDF files

Modified on Fri, 23 May at 11:50 AM

Compressing PDFs can be done in some different ways.

Using Foxit Editor

a. open the file
b. click on File > PDF Optimizer > Reduce File Size > Current File

Doing it online

a. Open Adobe PDF Compressor page (https://www.adobe.com/au/acrobat/online/compress-pdf.html) - this one can be used as it ensures end-to-end encryption.
b. Click Select your file > upload the file > it should be automatically downloaded, I believe.

Sometimes we cannot use the website depending on how the PDF was created, such as if it's got too many certificates for signatures, or if it's password protected.

These can be modified after printing them to one of the pdf printers.

"Printing" a file to PDF

a. Open the file

b. Click on File > Print

c. Choose Microsoft Print to PDF > Save
d. Open the new file and use one of the methods above
